Description

As a user I would like to search by coordinates.
As a user I can get location's coordinate when using Google maps (i.e. 46.9935590, 8.0652490) and then I would like to search that location in GPX viewer

Hello,
thank you for reaching out to us. We already have search by coordinates in GPX Viewer PRO. To search by coordinates, tap coordinates in the bottom right corner of the screen, in the opened window enter your coordinates and tap OK.

Kind regards,
Olga Belaya

Thank you for your quick and helpful response.

The feature is working as explained, but I have a few suggestions based on my experience using the app with my sons, which are also heavy users of the PRO version :

  1. Discoverability: The coordinates label in the bottom right corner is not very intuitive. We did not realize it was clickable until you pointed it out.
  2. Integration: It might be more intuitive to include the coordinate search option directly within the existing "Search" menu item.
  3. Formatting and Error Handling: The expected format is unclear, and there is no error message if the input is incorrect. For example, when copying coordinates from Google Maps (e.g., 46.8499340, 7.8946930), the app does not seem to parse the comma and space correctly.

It would be very helpful if the app could parse coordinates in various common formats (commas, spaces, colons, etc.) or provide an error message with the expected format if the input fails.

Thank you again for a great and useful app.

Hello, thank you that you use our app and that you like it. Yes, we will be reworking search dialog to integrate also search for coordinates so it will be more intuitive and able to parse multiple coordinates formats. Thank you for your suggestions.
