Error while retrieving offline map data information

Description
I keep receiving this error when trying download any map of any kind. Re-installed the software, made sure storage permissions were turned on and restarted my device. Not sure what else to do.
Also if I go to MAPS settings, it says Offline Map "Disabled"

thank you for reaching out to us. The problem with offline maps occurs because your device has an old Android version. Currently, our offline maps are officially compatible with Android version 10 or higher (although on our device offline maps also work with Android 8). We recommend using a device with a newer Android version to be able to use offline maps. If this is not possible for you, we can offer you a refund.
