Description

Hello GPX Viewer Team

I use the GPX Viewer as an online atlas and to record my tracks and waypoints in the camper. I usually drive in “Follow GPS deactivated” mode because then the current location is NOT in the center of the map. Rotate map is generally deactivated. I then move the map manually to the desired position outside the center.
Unfortunately, there is NO altitude and speed display in this setting. Is it possible to enable this function with these setting
Then the program would be perfect :-)

Kind regards
Jörn Paucke

Hello,
thank you for reaching out to us. Displaying speed and altitude is part of follow GPS feature and these data can't be displayed separately. We recommend you to use rotate map feature together with follow GPS feature, this way your map will move automatically when your location changes. Please let us know, why do you prefer not to use rotate map feature?

Kind regards,
Olga Belaya

Hello,
Thanks for the quick feedback.
I mainly use the GPX viewer as an online map for orientation and in this application north simply belongs “on top”
For example, when I drive from west to east, I always move the map to the west to see more of the map material that is still in front of me. The area I am driving through is then no longer of interest.
For this to work, GPS follow must be deactivated and then there is no more display of speed and altitude :-(
It's a pity, it might be a point for the future.
Kind regards
