Wrong elevation data recorded
Description
I have a Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone with GPXViewer PRO 1.44.1. I have noticed that in this version and also in previous ones the recorded altitude data for some minutes are totatiy crazy; suddenly the altitude changes up to 500 meters. See attached image (bottom part) please. By the way I disabled "Elevation from air pressure" setup parameter.

thank you for reporting your issue. We will make sure to look into it. In the meanwhile you can try to download the elevation data from server which should help, you can find it on this manual page: https://docs.vecturagames.com/gpxviewer/doku.php?id=docs:faq:how_to:add_elevation_data .

I updated to version 1.45.7 and now using a differente smartphone (Samsung S24 Ultra) and the problem continues.

Hello,
thank you for informing us about the problem. Please try to turn on Kalman filter or turn it off if the filter is already activated. Here is the way to Kalman filter: left main menu - Settings - Track recording - Profile manager - tap on the chosen profile - edit - Kalman filter.
Track recording quality depends on many factors on user device, which can lead to such mistakes as recording incorrect elevation data, here you can learn more about how to improve GPS accuracy on Android https://www.nextpit.com/how-to-improve-your-gps-signal-on-your-android If your recorded track has incorrect elevation data, we recommend to fix it by downloading elevation data from the internet using this instruction https://docs.vecturagames.com/gpxviewer/doku.php?id=docs:faq:how_to:add_elevation_data .
